My tip - be consistent!!!! Consistency in your water, your eating, your exercise…and never every give up.
It’s a daily struggle. Just have to do it. Make exercise as easy as breathing.
Don’t eat standing up. I found that’s a huge problem with me, especially while I’m cooking. You should sit down and enjoy each meal.
I hate being wasteful…but this helped: I’d order a meal I’d normally eat but only eat half of everything. Half of the main course, half of the side dish, half of the salad. That helped control my portions, which helped control stretching out my stomach which ultimately helped control my appetite. (that’s when I was dieting years ago…I’m only on day 4 this time around and I was tossing those two ideas around with my friend who’s dieting as well.)
Simple…if you bite it, write it. I know it sounds simple and all, but really, you need to make sure that you journal your food, your water intake, your vitamins, your exercise.
Getting an entree and asking for a box when they bring out your order and put half in there. Out of sight, out of mind.
As for the comment above, make the area where you will have your meal pretty. Get real napkins, eat on real plates, etc. I have been trying to do this as well. Enjoy each bite!
Alway have gum! When you know you shouldn’t be eating (or eating any more) pop a piece into your mouth -that way you won’t eat absent mindedly ;p
My tip: take a moment each morning to decide what kind of day you wish to have. Take that moment to get your heart and mind into taking care of yourself and resolving to make healthy, loving decisions all day.
Try and get in 100 oz of water a day. And NEVER beat yourself up.
